bills at Omotesando is one of the popular brunch places at the heart of Tokyo. bills first opened in Australia, at Sydney’s Darlinghurst. Despite going Sydney twice, I’ve missed the chance of going to bills. I thought I shouldn’t miss it again at Tokyo, so I gave it a try!

The experience definitely didn’t disappoint ๐Ÿ™‚

bills is known for its robust breakfast menu, and the hotcakes are pretty much raved about. After tasting it, you would know why! The pancakes have a very unique texture, and the taste is just right. An easy and foolproof combination of honeycomb butter and fresh banana, yet such a delicate balance. Definitely the star of our brunch!

We also ordered prawn and chilli linguine, which was not the usual breakfast item. Honestly I had my expectations lowered a little, but it gave such a pleasant surprise! Not only did it not taste oily, it was flavourful and succulent. I also ordered a flat white, which was well… normal.

The service at the restaurant would be what I call the cherry on the cake. My friend and I were sitted at quite a quiet corner at the restaurant, and we were initially afraid that we would be overlooked. But glad to say, our worries were unfounded. The staff were super attentive, and our water glasses were never left empty. That’s really service to me ๐Ÿ™‚

Last but not least, just a word of caution. We were there past 11, right before the queue started to get long. The atmosphere were all great – bright, buzzing with life and sunny. The restaurant faces the sun, so do bear in mind that it may get a little warm.

FYI, the other bills outlets are located at Futakotamagawa, Ginza and Odaiba respectively. They serve slightly different menus and they can be accessed on their website. Reservation is generally not required. But if you’re in a big group, you can either make a call or go online to make your reservation.
